How it works

From the click to the broker,
every order takes the same path.

This page walks through exactly what Dixpliner does with an order, what it does after the order is open, and what it does to the account around it. Nothing here is hidden behind a setting you cannot see.

01The order path

Twelve steps. Nine of them can say no.

The checks run in this order. The first one that fails stops the order, and its reason is printed on the ticket. If all nine pass, the last three shape the order and send it.

01You fill the ticket

YOU

Instrument, direction, entry and stop loss. You do not type a lot size or a take-profit: both are derived from your plan a few steps later.

02Account gates

CAN BLOCK

Is the account frozen by an external-trade lock, paused until a payout date, or paused by you for the day? If any of these is active the ticket is refused before a single plan rule is read.

03Profit targets

CAN BLOCK

If closed P&L for today already reached your daily target, or this week’s reached the weekly one, the day or week is over. Copied trades on alias accounts obey the same check.

04Session hours

CAN BLOCK

The order must land inside your start and end time. Outside the window it is rejected with the session printed on the ticket.

05Daily loss budget

CAN BLOCK

Closed losses today, plus the risk on every open position, plus the risk of this order, must stay under the daily limit. A winning day uses none of the budget: only realised losses count against it.

06Max open positions

CAN BLOCK

Only positions still at risk are counted. A position whose stop already sits at or beyond entry is free, so moving to breakeven earns you room for the next trade.

07Max trades per day

CAN BLOCK

A hard cap on orders per calendar day. Wins count the same as losses.

08Candle confirmation

CAN BLOCK

If enabled, the order must be placed inside the first 20% of the current candle on your chosen timeframe. Otherwise the ticket shows a countdown to the next candle.

09Entry checklist

CAN BLOCK

Every required item on your checklist has to be ticked. The submit button stays disabled until it is.

10Sizing

SHAPES ORDER

Lot size is computed from your risk per trade (a percentage of balance or a fixed amount) and the stop distance, using the broker’s contract specs. The take-profit is placed at your R:R multiple of the stop distance.

11Routing

SHAPES ORDER

The order goes to your broker through your dedicated MT5 instance or the cTrader gateway. From check to route takes under 200 ms.

12Journal

SHAPES ORDER

The trade is recorded with its rule outcome. Blocked orders are journalled too, with the exact reason, so you can see later where the plan saved you.

Passes

Sized, routed, journalled. You never notice Dixpliner was there.

BUY 0.42 EURUSD @ 1.0847 · SL 1.0812 · TP 1.0917 · risk 1.00%

Blocked

The broker never receives it. The ticket shows the reason in full, and the attempt is journalled.

Daily loss limit of 3% has been reached from closed trades. You’ve lost 3.20% today. Come back tomorrow.

02After the order is open

The plan keeps working while the trade runs.

Most rule-breaking happens after entry: the stop gets widened, the target gets pushed. These four run on the open position without you.

Auto-breakeven

When price covers a set share of the distance to your target (50% by default), the stop moves to entry. The position stops counting toward max open positions from that moment.

Pending order timeout

Pending orders older than the number of minutes you set are cancelled automatically. Off by default.

Stop and target edit guard

You can move a stop, but not to a level where the worst-case daily P&L would breach the daily loss limit. After a profit target is reached, only edits that reduce risk or lock in profit go through.

Copy to alias accounts

If the account is a master, the trade and every breakeven move are mirrored to its alias accounts, each sized by that alias’s own risk basis and blocked by that alias’s own plan.

03Around the account

What stops you going around it.

You still hold your broker credentials. These four are what make trading around Dixpliner expensive enough that you stop trying.

The settings window

The plan can be edited only on weekends (UTC) and between 21:00 and 22:00 GMT on weekdays. Outside that window every rule is read-only. The same window governs resetting your discipline score and changing the 2FA vault.

Sat–Sun (UTC) · Mon–Fri 21:00–22:00 GMT

The discipline monitor

A scanner checks the open positions at your broker every minute. Any position Dixpliner did not place is closed and logged as a violation. A weekly sweep of the deal history catches trades that opened and closed between scans. Manual stop or target edits made at the broker count too.

Score starts at 100 · −10 per violation · reset only in the window

The external-trade lock

One trade placed at the broker instead of through Dixpliner freezes the account for a week. A second one during the lock extends it. Existing positions can still be managed and closed; nothing new can be opened.

1 external trade → 7 days locked

The broker 2FA vault (optional)

Store your broker or prop-firm authenticator seed in Dixpliner, encrypted. The login code is only shown during the settings window. Mid-week, you cannot log into the broker terminal to trade around the plan, because you cannot get the code.

Code visible: weekends · 21:00–22:00 GMT

04Where it runs

Your own instance, not a shared pool.

One instance per MT5 account

Each MT5 account gets its own containerised terminal on its own server with its own IP. Nothing is shared with another trader.

cTrader through OAuth

cTrader accounts connect through the official Open API. Dixpliner never sees your cTrader password; you can revoke access from cTrader at any time.

Checks run server-side

The rule check does not run in your browser tab, where it could be closed or edited. It runs on infrastructure you cannot reach mid-session.

Credentials encrypted at rest

Broker passwords, OAuth tokens and 2FA seeds are encrypted in storage and used only to maintain the connection to your own account.
